Did you totally start slacking lately and aren’t delivering on your goals? Are you a slacker? Guess what? I’ve been slacking a bit…for the past month. Guess, what? We ALL slack from time to time.
I don’t care how “perfect” you think that person is that you compare yourself to on social media. You know you do it. We all do.
Nobody lives 100% perfectly all the time. We all slack from time to time. It may look a little bit different for everyone, but we all slack off every now and then.
I typically run about 12-15 miles per week. Sometimes, I run three miles and sometimes I run seven miles at once. Basically, I have a weekly goal and I’m flexible with how I get there.
The past month I didn’t run at all! Slacker!
I also used to smoke. Guess what I did? I started smoking again.
I know that when I don’t run, I will smoke. Why? Smoking and running are respiratory therapy for me. Both allow me to breathe deeply and focus on my thoughts. One is healthy of course while the other isn’t!
My wine intake also went up because I wasn’t running. Don’t worry. Nothing crazy, but I have anxiety and running is my way of handling it. Without running, I also require wine in the evening.
I sound like a hot mess, right? Boy did I just fall off the bandwagon or what?
